Basketball

Overview

Basketball is one of the most popular and therefore most catered for sports at our University. There is the opportunity for your group to book a court and play. Alternatively, you may wish to join our successful  men’s or women’s club, gain a Basketball coaching qualification or volunteer with the nationally-recognised Carnegie Basketball Foundation, who work with the community to engage with young people and promote the sport.

Currently fielding 4 men’s and 2 women’s teams, the basketball programme provides excellent opportunities for aspiring student athletes to develop their game.  The Club has developed a programme which offers student athletes the opportunity to pursue their sport at the highest level whilst attaining a degree at our University. We aspire to be the best higher education based basketball programme in the country and endeavour to offer the best environment for any student athlete to improve on a daily basis.
