Introducing our Vice Chancellor
Professor Susan Price is the Vice Chancellor of Leeds Metropolitan University. Professor Price took up office on January 4, 2010, joining Leeds Met from the University of East London, where she was previously Deputy Vice Chancellor and, latterly, Acting-Vice Chancellor. Professor Price has held a number of senior roles in academia including Director of Academic Affairs in the Department of Modern Languages at the University of Bradford, Associate Dean at the University of the West of England, and ESRC fellow at the University of Manchester Business School. Professor Price holds a first class degree in modern languages from the University of Salford. She completed her PhD in Linguistics at University College London and Salford, and has an MBA from the University of Bradford. She is a member of: the HEFCE Strategic Advisory Committee on Widening Access and Participation (WAPSAC) ; the National Steering Group on Teaching Quality Information and National Student Survey (TQI/NSS) and Diversity Advisory Panel of Leadership Foundation for Higher Education (LFHE).
