What happens after you have applied
Once we’ve received and considered your application, we will make a decision and give you an offer. There are three possible outcomes:
Unconditional
If we are happy with your application and you have met all the entry requirements, then we can make you an unconditional offer. This means you definitely have a place on your chosen course.
Conditional
If you have not met all the entry requirements yet, we may make you a conditional offer. You might be waiting to take exams or receive results in this case. This offer means we are happy to have you on our course, as long as you achieve the appropriate qualifications.
Rejection
If we are not able to offer you a place, we unfortunately have to reject your application (see Extra and Clearing for more information).Making your choice
When you have received all your offers from the universities you have applied to, you will be asked to make a firm (first) or insurance (second) choice. If you receive an offer from us we will invite you to an Applicant Day to help you with your decision.
Applicant Days
Applicant Days run between February and April and are subject specific. They are designed to provide you with more detailed information about your course, as well as the chance to meet the staff who will be teaching you and current students. You’ll get a real feel for what it’s like to be a student with us, see where you will be studying, and discover where you could be living.
If you have received an offer, you can register to attend an Applicant Day now.
Accommodation
Once you’ve accepted a place with us, you will need to think about where to live.
If we are your firm choice, you are guaranteed a place in one of our halls of residence. You need to fill out an online accommodation application between 1st February and 1st June to secure your place. Visit our accommodation site
You might prefer to live in private rented accommodation rather than halls of residence. If so, you should start looking for places to live as soon as you’ve accepted your place. You can visit Visit Unipol Student Homes to help with this.
Online Welcome Service
At Leeds Metropolitan, we give you a very warm welcome. We want every student to feel comfortable in their new surroundings from the very first day.
Our online welcome service gives you all the information you need prior to arriving and to help you settle in during the first few weeks. You will be given access to this service when you have accepted your place.
