Leeds artist, David Collins, brings his public, collaborative, issue-based style to the Leeds Met Gallery in an exhibition celebrating his part in the BBC Radio Leeds project, all_2gether_now. All are welcome to the Activity Day this Saturday 31 January, between 11.00am and 3.00pm, to take place in numerous activities, all of which are free of charge or visitors can just come and look around and enjoy David’s work. |

BBC Radio Leeds will join forces with Leeds Met to present a series of drop-in media workshops. Try out web design, community radio and explore art projects interactively, including a giant magnetic poetry board.
Workshop timetable
11.00am - 11.40am Photography
11.40am - 12.20pm Window Painting
12.20pm - 1.00pm Window Painting
1.00pm - 3.00pm Magnetic Poetry and slide show,

Workshop descriptions
Photography
Taking their own portraits as a starting point, participants will
use digital photography, drawing and painting to transform themselves
into the fantasy being of their choice …….
Window Painting
Working with a variety of painting and printing techniques to create
a large cityscape across the entire front window of the Gallery.
Magnetic Poetry
Working with everyday objects (painted with magnetic paint) and
a poetry board, participants will create their own poetry artworks.
Working individually and in larger groups, participants will
photograph their work, and the results will be put onto a laptop
slide show, allowing visitors to the Gallery to view the pieces
throughout the day.
