Assessment, Learning & Teaching Reflections

Friday 2 December

Yesterday I described the Leeds Met Teaching Fellowship Scheme and today I want to celebrate the appointment of some new TFs. In the past, we have appointed annually around eight new TFs to serve for three years. Newly appointed in 2005 were David Moore, School of Computing, Simon Thomson, School of Technology, Marie Scopes, Learning Support Services, Hitomi Masuhara, School of Languages and Elizabeth Beasley, School of Education and Professional Studies (reappointed).

This year we have expanded the TF complement by making additional appointments, selected using the same demanding criteria as original TFs to work with our Centres for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETLs), including the Institute for Enterprise CETL which we lead and the Assessment for Learning in Practice Settings (ALPS) and Active Learning in Computing (ALiC) CETLs in which we are partners. Our new CETL TFs for 2005/6 are: Gill Harrison, School of Computing, Catherine Coates and Sara Eastburn, both of the School of Allied Health Professions, Jo Appleton, School of Languages, Jan Betts, School of Education and Professional Studies, Trudy Hartford, School of Health and Human Sciences, Stuart Hirst, School of Information Management and Rebekka Kill, School of Contemporary Art and Graphic Design.
