LEISURE
The construction of the new £17m visitor attraction at Woodhorn Colliery. It houses creative displays telling the story of Northumberland's social history and mining heritage past. Old colliery buldings - some of which are now unique in the British coalfield and have Grade 2 or Grade 2* listed building status - have been restored and opened to the public.
