Award Certificates

All Award certificates are printed by the Awards and Examinations Team following Examination boards and are either presented at the graduation ceremony or posted to the student's last recorded permanent home address.

Award Certificates will include your name as recorded on the University's student record system. It is the responsibility of every student to ensure that his/her full legal name is recorded correctly.

In the case of a successful student review, if a student has already received a certificate the original must be returned before a replacement is issued.

In the case of a graduating student who has an outstanding debt to the University, the award certificate will be withheld until the debt is cleared.

Replacement Leeds Metropolitan University Certificates

Requests for duplicate Leeds Metropolitan University award certificates or letters of verification should be made in the first instance to the Awards and Examinations office by telephoning 0113 8125463. Please complete the Replacement Award Certificate Application Form for a replacement Leeds Metropolitan University award certificate or Letter of Verification.

You can pay for your replacement Leeds Metropolitan University or RUN award certificate in the following ways:

By telephone direct to the finance office on 0113 81 23832. You will be given a receipt number to write into the space provided on your application form.
You can send a cheque for the fee with your application form to the Awards and Examinations team. Payment should be made against a UK bank account or by sterling draft. Please note that cheques cannot be accepted for foreign bank accounts.

Replacement Leeds Polytechnic Award Certificates

The University are unable to produce duplicate certificates for Leeds Polytechnic awards which were conferred prior to October 1992 by the Council for National Academic Awards (CNAA). Requests for these should be made directly to the Open University who now hold the CNAA's records.

Replacement Diploma Supplement

Requests for duplicate Leeds Metropolitan University Diploma Supplements should be made in the first instance to the Awards and Examinations office by telephoning 0113 8125463. Please complete the Diploma Supplement Application Form.

Please note that Diploma Supplements are not available for students who graduated before 2005.
