X-stream

X-stream is your portal to online learning, information, services, communications and resources at Leeds Metropolitan.

Your course modules and timetable, as well as learning resources and announcements relating to your course, school and faculty should be available online in X-stream. Your tutors may also post notices, lecture notes, assessment briefs and open discussion boards for you to use.

You can login to X-stream using your Leeds Metropolitan username and password.

What's New in X-stream (April 2013)?

We updated X-stream over the Easter vacation and there are some new features that should be useful in your studies. Have a look at the guides and videos below for more info.

Global Navigation Menu

Always present in the top right corner, the new navigation menu is the entry point to My Blackboard and also provides one-click access to your Courses, Organizations, Settings, and Help.

> Calendar

Spend less time organising your calendar and more time doing what's on it. Consolidate course items into a modern, easy-to-use, personalized view. And export to third-party calendars like Outlook or Google.

> Discussion Board

The rebuilt discussions in Blackboard Learn makes it simple for lecturers and students to engage in conversations with one another. The new interface lets you easily follow along with discussion threads and post replies.

> Video Everywhere

The new Video Everywhere feature allows lecturers and students to seamlessly record (and then reuse) videos in Blackboard Learn using a web cam.
