Your feedback is really important to us, each year we ask our students to highlight what we’re good at and where we need to improve through a series of surveys. Survey season generally runs from January to April and by completing your survey not only are you telling us about your own experience you could be helping future students make the right choices of where and what to study.
Our annual surveys include:
The National Student Survey (NSS) open to final year undergraduates
The Student Satisfaction Survey (SSS) open to non-final year undergraduates
We need as many people as possible to get involved and fill in their survey – the results are very important to us and help us continuously improve the student experience, so your contribution really matters. If you are a first year undergraduate then you could be directly benefitting from the improvements we make to your student experience, based on your survey responses, before you graduate.
Your comments are entirely confidential and will not be passed on to your course teams other than as summary results. Feedback from previous surveys has resulted in the many improvements, including the following:
You said you wanted to improve the way technology is used
We introduced digital-literacy as a key part of all new courses
You said there is often no room in the library during busy assessment periods
We have increased the number of study spaces at City Campus and created an additional silent study room
You said it would be good to be able to print off your own personal laptop
We are trialling a new service so you can print from your laptop or from home
You said your X-stream log in is too complicated
We are upgrading our software for 2012-13 which will improve the log in process
