Money Support Team

The Money Support Team, based in The Rose Bowl, is responsible for administering funds that provide additional financial support for students. We deal with applications for financial assistance from the Access to Learning Fund (ALF) and other schemes such as the Additional Fee Support Scheme (AFSS); Short Term Loans and emergency assistance. We are available to answer questions relating to the funds and also general questions about statutory funding such as student loans and tuition fees.

We also approve US Direct Loans, Veteran Affairs (GI Funding) and Private Loans for US Students.

Student Money Advice

The University also has a Student Finance Advice service which is available to all students who would like confidential and impartial advice on a range of financial issues, including student support, budgeting, benefits, how repeat years will affect statutory funding and debt advice. Appointments and term-time drop-in sessions are available. For more visit the Student Money Advice pages or contact one of the Student Hubs, situated at Civic Quarter and Headingley Campuses.

Students' Union Advice Service

The Students' Union Advice Service can also help with student finance, fees, accessing emergency funds, managing debt and benefits. If you have a court summons for unpaid debts or for a council tax bill for which you are exempt, you should contact the Advice Service as soon as possible.
