If you have dyslexia there are plenty of support services available to you while you’re studying. You should register with Disability, Dyslexia and Assessment Centre at the first opportunity in order to ensure that you receive the support and assistance that you’re entitled to.
Dyslexia Tuition
If you have dyslexia you may benefit from study skills tuition delivered by a specialist Dyslexia Tutor.
To access this support you will need to be referred by your Adviser in Disability, Dyslexia and Assessment Centre and have provided them with an Educational Psychologist's report to confirm that you do have dyslexia.
The tuition may be delivered on a one-to-one basis, or within a group of similar students. It will be available at both Headingley and City Campus sites.
We also offer Dyslexia Tutor Drop-in Sessions, open to all dyslexic students registered with Disability, Dyslexia and Assessment Centre.
These sessions are where you can get advice and guidance on your studies from a qualified Dyslexia Tutor. They are offered at both Headingley and City Campus and you are welcome to use either. Just turn up with your questions.
