Chaplaincy

The Universities Chaplaincy in Leeds offers spiritual guidance, support and friendship to students from both Leeds Metropolitan University and the University of Leeds. The chaplaincy is open to students and staff of all faiths and none.

The chaplaincy offers discussion groups, opportunities for worship, socials for international students and many other services including pastoral support in times of crisis, or just a quiet space for prayer or reflection.

The Universities Chaplaincy Leeds is based in:

  • The Emmanuel Centre, next to the main entrance to the University of Leeds campus, Woodhouse Lane
  • The Catholic Chaplaincy, St Mark’s Avenue
  • The Cottage, Headingley Campus
  • The Wellbeing Centre, Portland Room 119, City Campus

The Emmanuel Centre is open weekdays, but we also offer drop in sessions at Headingley Campus on Thursdays at the Cottage and City Campus on Tuesdays 2 – 3pm in the Wellbeing Centre.

spirituality@work
a series of monthly lunch time sessions for staff, exploring themes around spirituality in the workplace. 
1st Monday in the month, 1 – 2pm, Emmanuel Centre.

Breath
A meeting for worship in the Quaker style.
