To qualify for the Scheme applicants must be in receipt of a Fee Grant. Where this is the maximum for the intensity of study† the scheme will pay up to £800 of the current yearís course tuition fee. Where students are awarded a Partial Fee Grant, the scheme will award a maximum of £250 towards the Fee costs. The remaining balance will be the studentís responsibility.
Students should not make an application to the scheme until they are enrolled as a student and are in receipt of their Student Finance Breakdown from Student Finance England.
The Additional Fee Support Scheme application form will be sent to the student, when their PTG1 is returned.
(Please note that the completed form must to be sent to Financial Support at the address shown on the form. It will not be processed if the Student Finance Breakdown letter is not attached)
Once your completed application form has been received you will receive a letter confirming the outcome, this will usually be within 2 weeks. The Finance department will also be notified and if appropriate an invoice raised for any balance due.
Please note that no payment will be made where there has been previous study and the assessment will be wholly based on the levels of household incomes as per the threshold bands published by Student Finance England.
