Video and Telephone conferencing

Media Services has a dedicated space to support both video and telephone conferencing within our City Campus library.

Video Conferencing

The high speed system uses IP addresses to connect around the world and the dedicated space is available to book via the Audio Visual (AV) Loans counter at City Campus.

This service must be booked in advance and we will require you to complete a form giving details of a contact for the remote location, enabling us to conduct a test call in advance of your video conference. IP calls are free whether dialled or received but there will be a charge for support outside of normal working hours.

Telephone Conferencing

Charges will apply to calls made using this method and an internal charge code will be required before the call is placed. International calls can be made from this dedicated space if requested in advance.

A conference telephone may also be loaned from the AV Loans counters at either campus for use in offices or spaces within the university. It is strongly advised that the system is booked in advance and that any space is checked for a live telephone socket prior to the event. Please consider that most lines are barred from making international calls.
