We aim to give a pragmatic and straightforward service in line with the commitment of our University to provide a healthy working environment that values wellbeing and diversity, makes efficient and imaginative use of resources, promotes professionalism and good governance. Support is available in three main areas.
Wellbeing: Our wellbeing programme is designed to take a broad view of the factors that affect our happiness, confidence, physical condition and general outlook on life. It goes beyond our University workplace to look at how general lifestyle factors impact on the body, state of mind, diet, daily routine and wider environment
Occupational Health: We provide professional, specialist advice to employees and managers on the effects of health at work and in general. We can help identify ways to improve wellbeing in the workplace, and develop strategies to prevent illness and injury arising from work activity.
Health and Safety: We provide support and guidance to managers on the management of health and safety risks in the workplace. This includes advice on completing risk assessments so that workplace activities can take place as safely as possible.
