RSO Safety, Health and Wellbeing Advisory Group


The University takes the health and safety of staff, students and visitors seriously.

The purpose of the Advisory Group is to create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment by considering issues relating to the safety, health and wellbeing of RSO employees, Leeds Metropolitan University students and visitors. The Group acts as a forum for RSO management to consult with employees and their recognised trade unions on matters relating to their safety, health and wellbeing.  

The Group advises on the development of local policies and procedures which will safeguard the safety, health and wellbeing of local staff, students and visitors, as well as monitoring statistics on accidents, incidents and illness to recommend actions to address key issues which may arise from these and to promote greater awareness of safety, health and wellbeing policies ensuring continuous improvement in RSO performance.
