Our University's Strategic Plan 2010-15 will be achieved through the effective performance and development of all our staff. We are committed to enabling staff to deliver high levels of performance through the Performance and Development Review (PDR) process.
The PDR cycle, for all staff, runs from May to October.
The guidance documents provide advice to Reviewees, Reviewers and Reviewers’ Line Managers on all stages of the PDR process.
PDR Reviewer and PDR Reviewee training modules are available via People Development Online. The PDR Reviewee module is available for you to self-enrol. People Development Online modules can be accessed via the People Development service page or through the People Development Online icon on your desktop.

When should my Performance & Development Review (PDR) take place?
During the 2013 PDR cycle we are piloting an online PDR system. The purpose of this pilot is to improve the quality and experience of the PDR process for reviewers and reviewees. Specific benefits of the system include the ability to provide a clear line of sight from organisational priorities through to individual objectives and a ‘live’ objective setting process which encourages regular review and discussion of objectives throughout the year.
Pilot participants can access the system via the link in the right hand column of this page.
