Our commitment to employee engagement by asking colleagues about their employment experience and addressing areas where they would like to see improvements through a biennial staff survey, focus groups and a range of feedback and consultation mechanisms.

Theme 4 of our University's strategic plan 2010-2015 describes our commitment to "engaging, valuing and developing our diverse community of colleagues". Our commitment to attracting, retaining and developing an enthusiastic workforce that enjoys working at our University is integral to the achievement and delivery of this strategic priority.

Following the 2011 mini staff survey, our University-wide results and detailed reports for each Faculty and Service are now available to download. A RAG report detailing the summary results across the University and for each Faculty/Service is also available. This report shows the response to the survey questions in the following way:

Red - local response more than 10% lower than University response.
Amber - local response more than 5% lower than University response.
Green - local response at least 10% higher than University response.

It should be noted that the RAG report excludes any small services or groups of staff, where the number of responses is ten or less, in the interests of respondents' anonymity.

Action plans have been developed in response to the survey results and are available to download.
