First Bus and Metro Card

Discounted travel passes for staff throughout West Yorkshire by bus and/or train.

First Bus and Metro Cards run annually from 1 May to 30 April. Employees who currently hold either card will have their cards renewed automatically each year unless Payroll is notified otherwise.

Employees who would like a First Bus card to start from 1 May should download, complete and return to Payroll the relevant registration form by mid-March at the latest. Please note this is the only window of opportunity for employees to obtain a First Bus card.

Metro Cards can be obtained for a part-year, up until December. We are required to deliver the information for part-year cards to Metro by the first of the month in order for the card to start on the first day of the following month. Metro Rail Cards are split into zones, further details of which can be downloaded from this page.
