Our team of media and communications professionals is responsible for putting strategies in place to protect and enhance the reputation of our university.

Whether you have a story you want to tell the outside world or you’re working on a project and you’d like some help defining and disseminating your key messages, our communications team can help you.

We are experts in PR and media relations, internal and corporate communications here at our university. We can offer advice and support on effectively communicating with your target audiences, whether internal or external, and defining your success measures and evaluation mechanisms.

Our team produces the quarterly staff magazine LS126, edits our University's weekly bulletin, and distributes our monthly Vice Chancellor’s newsletter.

We also manage and respond to media inquiries, draft press releases, monitor coverage in the media, and seek to generate positive coverage for our University in a variety of ways, for example by placing our university academics’ expert comments in the media.

Media Training

Our communications team provides expert advice and guidance to colleagues on how to handle the media across the spectrum from print and radio to television interviews.

We can take you through a mock broadcast interview in our fantastic TV studio facilities here on campus; we also work with external experts in the field depending on your requirements.

Whether you have been contacted by the media and want a quick run through or just want to improve your confidence in media interviews more generally, we can provide the support you need to ensure your messages are conveyed with confidence!
