Board of Governors
The Board of Governors is the University's governing body and, as such, is responsible for determining the educational character and mission of our University and for overseeing all of its activities.
The Board is responsible for the solvency of our University and for the effective, efficient, and economical use of the University's funds; it approves the annual financial plan and audited annual financial statements and sets student fees. The Board agrees a framework for the pay and conditions of service for all staff and is responsible for the appointment and appraisal of the Vice-Chancellor and the Clerk. The Board delegates specific responsibilities and business to its committees.
The Chair of the Board of Governors is Lord Woolmer of Leeds.
The Clerk to the Board is Jenny Share, Secretary & Registrar.
