The Annual Monitoring and Review process is the method by which the university appraises the performance of its courses in a consistent way. Course teams meet at defined points (2 x in-year enhancement and development meetings and 1 x post-year review) and consider threshold academic standards, quality assurance and the enhancement of the student experience.
Meetings with students precede each of the in-year meetings and the post-year review is conducted to a strict agenda contextualised by a defined set of statistical data which relates to student performance. Action plans are updated and taken forward after each of the meetings. Student representatives are expected to attend the post-year review meetings.
Course Leaders are required to produce an annual report to a standardised template which are then considered at faculty level. The faculty level reports of this activity are overseen by Academic Board.
You are advised to review the 'Annual Monitoring and Review Handbook' prior to commencing this process.
