Volleyball

Leeds Met Carnegie has long been at the forefront in developing and promoting performance sport at national and international levels.
To further promote this ethos the University have appointed a number of full time coaches and have invested athlete support structures like Strength & Conditioning, Physiotherapy and Nutrition as well as capital investment in facilities. Volleyball is one of the sports to flourish in the last 2 years. Now with two teams in the National leagues and two more playing in the Yorkshire leagues and the university teams dominating the collegiate competitions.
As part of the development of the Volleyball Programme at Leeds Met Carnegie, The club have put a number of players through coaching awards. This development will allow the team to deliver sessions in local schools as well as host festivals and junior competitions. The hope is that the Volleyball Club will become a important part of the community and develop links outside university sport, whilst giving young players the platform and opportunity to improve.
