What is Varsity?

The annual Leeds Varsity event is a student led and organised sporting event established for both Leeds Metropolitan and University of Leeds students. The event, now in its ninth year, sees sports teams from both institutions competing in over 25 different sports across one spectacular day of sporting competition. Established in 2005 Leeds Metropolitan are currently undefeated in the event.

Sports including Ten-Pin Bowling and Touch American Football have been added to the event programme this year ensuring the most inclusive and diverse one day Varsity event across the country. The finale of the event culminates in a head to head battle of two talented rugby union teams. Hosted by Headingley Carnegie Stadium this is fantastic evening of entertainment and competition that shouldn't be missed!
