Sports Centres

Leeds Met has a huge range of high quality sports facilities. Whether you are using our facilities for recreation and fitness or as a competitive athlete, we guarantee some of the best facilities in the region.
The Outdoor Centre
This includes our Athletics centre, incorporating an eight-lane track, jumps and throws facilities. The centre provides opportunities for all ages and abilities to train throughout the year. Leeds Metropolitan University Athletics Club and other Leeds based clubs train on site with full coaching support. Junior athletics coaching sessions take place weekly. All technical events require the presence of a coach. For students holding current athletics qualifications, coaching opportunities are available.
In addition, we have two floodlit synthetic turf pitches - a 3G pitch for football / rugby and a sandressed hockey pitch. At Headingley we also have four grass pitches (1 x Rugby, 3 x Football) and a floodlot multi-use games area. Use of the Outdoor Centre is free of charge to all Sports Membership holders.
