Rugby league side bid to make history

Leeds Met's student rugby league side will be looking to make history this weekend as they face Batley Bulldogs for a place in the fourth round of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.
Following their demolition of the British Police in the third round, the students will travel to the home of Cooperative Championship club Batley Bulldogs, the first winners of the Challenge Cup in 1897 on Sunday as they bid to be the first student team through to the fourth round of the competition.
Director of rugby league Paul Fletcher is excited at the prospect: "The boys worked really hard in the last round as a team and produced the goods. I'm buzzing about the prospect of playing Batley in the third round. For the guys to get the chance to play against a professional outfit is the dream and hopefully we can make it through to the fourth round and make history."
Star from the last round Adam Scott added: "The Carnegie Challenge Cup means everything to me and it's awesome to get through to the third round."
