by student sports reporter Joseph Fitzpatrick
In a game that pitted 5th against 6th, Yorkshire against Lancashire, it was the red rose county that prevailed.
Leeds Carnegie lost away to an experience Oldham team 68-46 missing out on the chance to overtake their opposition and move into 5th place in Premier 1.
Carnegie made too many unforced errors, missed too many shots and struggled in defence due to a height disadvantage, which was compounded by the fact Oldham's former England shooter Karen Greig made full use of the circle, scoring from an array of positions.
Natalie Panagarry was Leeds' standout performer at Centre in an extension of the good form she has displayed throughout the season.
