The best way to become a member and access Leeds Met's broad range of sports facilities, from fitness rooms, to climbing walls, is to purchase a Sports Membership.

A Leeds Met Sports Membership costs just £100 for students (+£15 for Free Weights add on), and £120 for staff. All Alumni, Associate, Family or Community passes (gym and swim only) can be purchased for £220 and is valid for the whole academic year - you won't find better value anywhere in the region.

The pass gives you access to our state-of-the-art fitness centres at Headingley Campus and the City Campus and is an absolutely essential item whilst you are at Leeds Met.  Without a Sports Pass staff/students pay £4 per session while guests pay £4.50.  Children swim for £3 a time.

Staff Sports Membership
Leeds Met colleagues can now pay their health and fitness sports pass membership on a monthly basis through Payroll. Please join by completing a Sports Pass application and taking this along with your Carnegie card to either Carnegie Sports centre reception, Headingley Campus or from the Fitness centre at City Campus.

Membership costs
Single cover = £10 month
Family cover = £20.83 month (includes 2 parents & 2 children under 18)

Membership terms and conditions

• Once joined your membership will automatically be renewed on an annual basis - authomatic renewal applies to monthly payments only.
• Annual price review/increase 1st August
• Student memberships are valid from 1st September to 31st August. To renew please contact the sports centre.
• May opt out at any time but cannot rejoin for a further 3 months
• Deductions will commence from your start date

Cancellations    

Leavers - No action is required your membership will cease at date of leaving

Current Staff - Inform Duty Supervisor at Sports Centre Reception in order to cancel your membership

How to Get a Sports Membership
Staff and students can purchase a Sports Membership at the Carnegie Sports Centre Reception, Headingley Campus, or from the Fitness Centre at City Campus. Make sure you bring your staff or student card with you.

Don't Have a Sports Membership?
No problem, students and members of staff may use the facilities on a casual basis without purchasing a sports pass. Casual users pay £4 per visit and must produce either a staff or student ID card. Note that casual users cannot book facilities.

Bring a Friend
Non staff and students can use the facilities on a casual basis as a guest of a Sports Membership holder. Guests pay £4.50 per visit and must be accompanied by a Sports Membership holder.

Other Info
A barrier system is in operation on both campuses so please ensure you bring your sports pass or you will be charged an entry fee. Casual users should bring their staff/student ID. If you wish to use any of our Fitness Centres you will need to book and induction, this can be done at either of our Sports Centre receptions, Headingley Campus or the City Campus.

Please ensure you have the correct change of sports footwear for your activity.

 

Students wishing to join an Athletic Union Sports Club may need to pay an additional fee to assist with club funding.
