Leeds Met retain intramural varsity

Leeds Met have retained the intramural varsity title for the fifth consecutive year.
Each year the winners of Leeds Met's Intramural Leagues compete against the winners of their city neighbours from The University of Leeds in football, netball and basketball.
Strong performances from Leeds Met sides were enough to retain the trophy as they recorded wins in netball, basketball, 11-a-side football and 7-a-side football with the only defeat coming in 5-a-side Football.
Sports Participation Officer Sarah Humphreys spoke after the event: "It was a great day, with all teams playing in really good spirits. This day is growing year on year with the number of sports that are offered, so hopefully next year will see even more students and staff participating from both universities."
Full results:
5-a-side Football: 8-3 to Leeds University
Netball: 35-20 to Leeds Met
Basketball: 63-55 to Leeds Met
11-a-side Football: 1-1 (3-2 on pens) to Leeds Met
