Health & Fitness Welcome

Health & Fitness Welcome

University Sport provides a wide range of health and fitness services and opportunities throughout the year to both students and staff. Fully refurbished fitness centres provide you with state of the art cardiovascular and resistance machines to help you with your fitness training. Qualified gym staff are present all through term time to: instruct you on how to effectively use the equipment, to provide personal training advice; and to help you achieve your goals.

There is also a diverse and fun class timetable that offers a variety of fitness activities for everyone including the casual exerciser, to the more energetic and experienced fitness participant, including: Aerobics, Boxercise, Circuits, Martial Arts, Pilates, Studio Cycling and Yoga.

In terms of health and wellbeing provision, University Sport continuously strives to develop and offer new and exciting healthy lifestyle initiatives to its population. Such initiatives include healthy eating campaigns, campus walk programmes, informative and interactive workshops and seminars, and lifestyle clubs that encourage people to change unhealthy habits and promote good practice wherever possible.

Whatever your interest, there are always health and fitness-related activities that you can get involved in taking place at University Sport!
