Carnegie Scholarships

Applications for the academic year 2013 / 2014 are now OPEN

We will look at applications as soon as they are submitted and give our decision as soon as possible, as we are well aware that a student's final decision may rest on a sports scholarship offer for the 2013/2014 academic year.

Applications will be considered up until the closing date of Friday 20^th September 2013 thus giving new talented athletes arriving in September the opportunity to apply.

 

Students must have accepted a place at Leeds Metropolitan University to be eligible for a Sport Scholarship.

The closing date for applications is FRIDAY 20th SEPTEMBER 2013.

Successful applicants will be notified at the latest by FRIDAY 4th OCTOBER 2013.

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

• Sports Scholars will be granted an honorarium award or fee-waiver 
• Sports Scholars will receive a complimentary Sports Membership & AU Membership of their chosen sport (whilst they remain on the scholarship scheme)
• Access to excellent competition opportunities & professional coaching from highly qualified coaches across the sports catered for at Leeds Met
• Athletes will have access to individually tailored strength & conditioning programmes developed and monitored by our team of conditioning coaches.
• Where appropriate scholars will be able to access sports science support across a whole range of disciplines delivered by our applied sports science department
• Unique Carnegie Sports Scholar branded sports kit
• The experience of living, training, studying and competing in vibrant, student friendly city.
