BUCS success aplenty for Leeds Met

Leeds Met enjoyed a near-perfect day of BUCS action despite many games falling foul of the inclement weather at Headingley Campus.
With all of the home outdoor fixtures postponed, the focus turned to indoor fixtures as our teams recorded comprehensive victories over their opponents.
There was a strong win for the newly established table tennis squad as they entertained Newcastle. Led by player/coach Daniel Zuickl the home side triumphed 11-6 in an entertaining fixture.
The women's rugby union side travelled to Loughborough to try and extend their 100 per cent BUCS record and came away with an incredible 55-0 victory over the Midlands side. There were home wins for the men's badminton 2nd and 3rd teams over Leeds and York respectively. Men's basketball 2nd team triumphed over Northumbria 87-57 whilst the 3rd team beat Leeds Trinity 72-38 and the women's 2nd team beat Newcastle 53-43.
Men's fencing lost out to Newcastle 101-130 but the golf team pulled off a great away win at Durham 3.5-2.5. Men's waterpolo drew 7-7 with York in a highly entertaining fixture whilst their female counterparts eased to victory 12-1 also against York.
