Men's Hockey

Hello and welcome to Leeds Metropolitan University Men's Hockey Club. The club is one of the most well known and respected clubs at the University. Based up at the University's Headingley Campus, it is home to 4 teams who will all be competing in the 2010/11 British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competition.
The club has been expanded this year and will have teams competing at all levels in University sport, from the 1st team who will be looking for promotion from North Division 1A to the BUCS Premier Division North, all the way to the newly created 4th team who will be starting in North Division 6B.
In the past few years, the club has gone from strength to strength. In 2007 the 1st team gained promotion to Division 1A and then missed out on promotion to the Premier Division North by just 1 point 2 years later. The 2nd team achieved promotion last year but will be striving to make it back-to-back promotions to allow the team to play at a level that they believe that they should be playing at. The 3rd team have showed consistency in the past but on numerous occasions have missed out on promotion by the odd point. They see promotion a must for this season.
