Snowsports

This is the fifth year since leedsmet skiers and leedsmet snowboarders joined up to create leedsmet snowsports.  In these 5 years the club has gone from strength to strength to being BUSC affiliated to having up to 200 members. We are made of people who just love to ski and snowboard and as a result are a very social club who have events every week either team socials or trips to Castleford Xscape to get our fix of snow.

Competing is also a major aspect of our club and we regularly enter completions. The biggest of which is BUDS which is held every year in Edinburgh, this year saw our best ever performance placing third in women's big air snowboarding and missing out in the ski slalom finals by milliseconds.

The club have a yearly trip to the French Alps. These are legendary throughout the University, Experiencing Extreme Sports and extreme nights out.  We are club that welcome all new members whether you are an experienced skier or boarder that have been doing it for years or if you are a complete beginner and have never tried skiing or snowboarding before. This is great club for meeting new friends and having great times whilst at Leeds Met University.
