Snowsports

This is the sixth year since Leeds Met Skiers and Leeds Met Snowboarders joined up to create Leeds Met Snowsports. During this period the club has exploded in strength to being BUSC (British University Snowsports Council) affiliated and having up to 200 members. We are made of people who just love to ski and snowboard and are an extremely social club who have events every week either team socials or trips to Castleford Xscape to get our fix of snow!
Competing is also a major aspect of our club and we regularly enter competitions, the biggest of which is BUCS held every year in Edinburgh attracting Universities from all over Britain. 2011 saw our best ever performance placing 2nd in 'Men's Big Air Skiing', 1st in BUISC Slopestyle and 2nd in Board Slalom.
The club also run a yearly trip to the French Alps. This is a fantastic time, incorporating extreme sports and extreme nights out.
We are club that welcome all new members whether you are an experienced skier or boarder or if you are a complete beginner. Leeds Met Snowsports is a perfect way to meet new friends, enjoy the sports and enhance your university experience.
