Aussie Rules

Not a sport for the faint hearted, Aussie rules is welcomed into the growing list of Athletic Union sports.
A sport played by 18 people per side on an oval shaped pitch with a similar shape ball to that of rugby. With no offside rule, players are allowed to roam the field as they please.
This often leads to fast pace games with its fair share of tackles. There are a number of ways to score but the main objective is to pass the ball between the posts.
The Aussie rules side will hopefully make use of the local team in Leeds to learn and develop.
With the support from the Athletic Union the club hopes to grow and begin representing Carnegie as soon as possible.
Any students interested in joining the club make sure you look out for more information available in September 2010.
