Dance

Welcome to Leeds Carnegie Dance.

If you love to dance and meet new people then we are the club for you. We have three teams which are Urban, Jazz and Lyrical. Everyone has the chance to audition for any of the teams at the start of the year and they are chosen by our team captain. The teams compete all over the UK at university competitions and were very successful this year coming home with 8 trophies in all. We are also planning to hold our first annual competition at Leeds Met which has never been done before.

We have classes that run throughout the year that are open to everyone. We have a lyrical jazz class, urban class and a new fitness class called bokwa. All the classes are held on the city campus. If you don't think you're the strongest dancer it doesn't matter, the classes cater to all levels. Even if you're just looking to keep fit and have fun we're sure you'll love them.

As well as dancing we are a very sociable club. We meet every second Wednesday in the SU and go out together. All these nights are organised by our social secretary. We recommend you come to one because they are the best nights you will have at University. At the end of the year we go on tour and compete. Tour is also organised by our social secretary and it is a week not to be missed.
