Kayaking & Canoe

Leeds Met Kayak Club offers a range of kayaking experiences, for people of all abilities, from gentle flat water trips on lakes and canals to adrenaline infused white water trips running rapids and waterfalls.

You don't need your own kit as we can provide all the equipment. The club holds pool sessions each Wednesday where our experienced coaches will teach you everything you need to know, or can help refine your existing skills. Approximately once a month we have a 'friendly' polo night within the club. Every pool session is also finished off with a trip to the pub.

We usually run trips every two or three weeks which cater to everyone from people who have never been in a kayak before to seasoned experts. In addition to day trips the club organizes at least two weekend trips a year, the first of these is normally to the Lake District at the start of the year while the second is usually North Wales just before or after Easter.
