Kayaking & Canoe

The Leeds Met Kayak Club offers a wide range of kayaking from; adrenaline-pumping white water to technical slalom, tranquil canals and lakes, competitive kayak polo, awesome (duuude) kayak surfing or just a social chill-out in the pool and pub. We enter a number of BUCS competitions (often accompanied by a bbq and fancy dress) throughout the year to ensure we have events to work towards throughout the year.. We escape busy Leeds to the peaceful countryside or seaside on weekends or day trips to ensure students receive a variety of kayak experiences.

Coaching sessions are also held twice a week in the campus pool where there is the further opportunity of gaining qualifications. All equipment is provided, all you need to bring is yourself and a towel!  Beginners and experienced paddlers are welcome.
