Table Tennis

Table Tennis

Table tennis is one of the most participated sports in the World and is currently the fastest growing sport within the UK. So if you want to improve your game and get some expert coaching come along to our successful programme available here at Leeds Metropolitan University.

The university currently has a men's and women's team competing in the respected BUCS league. The men had a successful year with a brand new team to the university finishing well in their league. The women's side managed to field a strong team for the first time in years and due to this were successful in reaching the semi-finals of the trophy cup.

A high standard of coaching is now available here at Leeds Met and we currently have a wide range of players with varying standards and ability, so no matter what level you are currently playing, or if you are a complete beginner we will be able to accommodate you needs and help you to improve.

Our sessions currently run on a Tuesday and Thursday, but this year we are also making a weekend session available too.

Featuring in our calendar for 2012/2013 will be:

·         2x coach led sessions per work

·         3x Recreational sessions per week

·         Inter hall challenge

·         And plenty more

Coaching Staff:

Ashley Cooney- Currently a level 1 coach, who is also studying sports coaching here at the university and is keen to get his level 2 during the up and coming season.
