Regional University Network Fora

The Fora enable staff from FE and HE to meet on a regular basis and provide a space to reflect and consider curriculum developments across the Network and at Leeds Met.  There are a number of subject specific and cross discipline Fora that are led by Network staff.

During the last twelve months, the Fora have achieved a number of objectives including the submission of successful joint bids, the co-ordination of collaborate performance arts such as RELAY and a conference aimed at staff from the health and social care field. In addition, staff have the opportunity to discuss issues such as learner progression, the Early Application Scheme Entry (EASE), lifelong network funding and collaborative student centred events such as the Northern Design Competition and the Festival of Partnerships for Students.

Network staff quotes

"As Course Tutor for a successful and well-established Foundation Degree I am pleased to be involved in the Regional University Network. There are significant benefits for both staff and students alike. It is extremely beneficial to share good practice with fellow lecturers and course leaders across other institutions which in turn has a positive effect on our students who can benefit both directly and indirectly from a broad range of teaching experience and perspectives."
