The University's Centre for Pain Research featured on the BBC's 'The One Show' on Monday.

The programme, which was broadcast last night at 7pm, featured an item filmed at the Faculty of Health's laboratories in which the pain thresholds of a guest and presenter were compared.

The Centre for Pain Research, part of the Faculty of Health, investigates the use of non-invasive approaches to manage pain.

Their work on the analgesic effects of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Interferential Current Therapy (IFT) has received international recognition.

The centre also examines the analgesic effects of therapeutic massage, Cyriax Physiotherapy and visible polarised light therapy.
