Music to the masses
28/07/2009
Later this year Leeds Met in partnership with JAMES (Joint Audio Media Education Services) will be holding the second annual Music and Media Educators Conference at Headingley Campus.
In 2007 Leeds Met became the first University to receive accreditation from JAMES, the body responsible for assessing the quality of music courses. JAMES is the educational arm of the Association of Professional Recording Services and the Music Producers Guild.
The two day event, which will take place in September, will include master-classes, seminars, workshops, product demonstrations and lectures, and is open to industry professionals, educators and students.
Keynote addresses will be delivered by Managing Director Post Production for the Pinewood Group Dennis Weinreich and musician Steve Lawson.
The Music and Media Educators Conference will take place at Leeds Met's Headingley Campus on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 September 2009. For further information, or to book a free place, please email innevents@leedsmet.ac.uk.
