Students' film gains exposure

A group of students from Leeds Metropolitan have had their film selected to be screened at the UK's leading student film and moving image festival later this month.
'Edith', a short film about love, loss and romantic love in old age, made by Northern Film School, BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production students will be shown at the exposures festival on Thursday 18 November at Cornerhouse in Manchester.
Written, directed and produced by five third year graduates including writer, Naomi Blyth-Kubota, producer, Kathryn Wilson and director, Ian Pinder, the film is one of 60 selected out of 450 submissions to be screened at the festival, which is said to be the largest of its kind in the UK.
Now in its 17th year, exposures showcases talented student filmmakers from across the UK and offers the public opportunities to learn from, and pitch to, senior figures within the media industry.
