Classes will be starting Friday 5th March, 5-7pm, at Carnegie Sports Centre and running on a weekly basis, with extra training slots provided on Saturday afternoons should you be really keen.

Internationalising your curriculum

The internationalisation of the curriculum is a essential component of the wider drives to internationalise higher education in response to the rapidly evolving global context for our graduates. Leeds Met has been at the forefront of activity in this area in the UK, and is widely recognised in the sector for innovative practice and policy. David Killick's interactive workshop will introduce the notion of curriculum internationalisation, initially through a discussion on the roles of purposes of higher education. Participants will then work to adapt and develop learning outcomes and associated activities for use in their own curriculum and more widely.

The State of the Region in 2010: Is there a future for a UK and European Regional Policy?

The conference will provide academics and practicioners with an opportunity to share up to date and relevant research in the area of employer engagement. The range of experiences and activities presented will challenge delegates to consider what employer engagement means to them, their students, their institution. In the afternoon, we will hear from a number of employers exploring topics such as graduate skills, PDP, partnership activity and employer expectations.
The day will run from 9am to 4pm, but we have designed the programme so that you can attend either the morning, the afternoon or all day.
