Leeds Met will be raising its profile within the gaming world at this week's Eurogamer Expo 2009, which will make its northern debut in the city of Leeds on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October.

The Eurogamer Expo gives delegates the opportunity to play the biggest games of this Christmas, take part in exclusive competitions, network with industry experts and more. The event also includes a Career Fair and is held in partnership with HMV, Playstation, XBox 360, Nintendo, Nvidia, Game Republic and many more.

Innovation North will be hosting a stand and promoting its courses in Games Design and Computer Animation & Special Effects at the Expo. The event, which will be held at the Royal Armouries, will also offer the opportunity for the University to showcase its prize-winning student games projects from the past two years, strengthen the faculty's already very healthy contact with local games companies and continue ongoing discussions about the skills games companies require from future employees.
