I am responsible for ensuring that:

• we attract a wide range of students to the University;
• through the provision of a wide range of pastoral and other support services, students have a good quality experience whilst they are here;
• students can study and staff can work in a safe and healthy environment, with mutual respect and tolerance;
• all learning opportunities offered to students are of the highest quality and standards;
• we support students effectively during their time here by providing the highest quality admissions, registration and enrolment, exams and graduation services;
• the University's academic and operational planning is undertaken effectively and efficiently; including liaison with external funding and regulatory bodies;
• all of the activities of the University are undertaken in accordance with the law and any relevant regulations.

In achieving our aims, we work with colleagues and partners within and outside of the University.

We work in particular with members of the Board of Governors and Students Union.

I also have responsibility for the oversight and
co-ordination of Faculty Chief Operating Officers.
