Leeds Met Sustainability Team wants to improve our environmental performance and has been recognised for its work.  Leeds Metropolitan University has developed and implemented an Environmental Management System that is relevant to the nature of its business and conforms to the international environmental standard ISO 14001.

As a result the University has made a commitment to:

. Employ all relevant environmental legislation and regulation
. Promote more efficient use of resources
. Promote, measure and manage efficient use of energy and water
. Exchange best practice with Local Authorities, Higher Education Institutions and other organisations
. Ensure staff receive relevant environmental training -staff can now book training online using ITrent.
. Continually improve our environmental performance
. Publicly demonstrate our commitment to the environment
