Welcome
Communications is part of the Registrar and Secretary's Office within the Met Office. Our remit is to develop and manage the reputation of the University and to maintain and enhance our competitive position, in line with our Vision and Character. To do this, we pursue excellence in the following areas, working in liasion with other teams across the University: strategic communications, media relations, stakeholder relations, events management, corporate identity, web design and development, graphic design, photography, corporate literature. We are also the key drivers in the development of the University's online presence, and aim to create compelling content for our stakeholders. Following a period of consultation, we re-launched our website in September 2008, and have exploited the full potential of Internet to deliver a much richer multimedia experience. The University YouTube channel, populated with content produced in collaboration with the video team, has added an extra dimension to our media presence. We also support the University's festivals and events which include Graduation Festival, Staff Development Festival, Open Days, UCAS Fairs, Freshers' Festival, plus a host of sporting events such as the Carnegie Challenge Cup, Carnegie World Club Challenge and the University's own BUCS and Varsity Day campaigns. |
