ucas extra

Starting on 26 February and finishing at the end of June, ucas extra allows you to make additional choices, one at a time. It is completely optional, and is designed to encourage you to continue researching and choosing courses. All courses available through ucas extra will be highlighted on the ucascourse service that appears on the ucas website. For further details, please see the related links.

ucas clearing

Clearing is the process of matching unplaced applicants with vacancies on courses.  It lasts from the beginning of July until the end of September, with the peak of activity just after 'A' level results are published. For full details, please see the Beginner's Guide to Clearing.
