Computing Services Courses

[Extra Note: An up-to-date Course List and Schedule is maintained on the Web, and may contain more recent information than this article.]

We ran courses for some 500 LMU staff over the last semester. This again is a significant increase and a level we plan to maintain this year. Most popular was Exploring the Internet.

Comments from your evaluation forms have been very positive and encouraging, and this semester's courses take full account of your suggestions. New courses are:

We could not maintain the level of provision without the help we get from our part-time staff. Thanks to Diana Stansfield and Sarah Nelmes for their continued efforts on our behalf, and welcome to Teresa Driscoll who joined us a few months ago.

Thanks also to the catering staff for their timely (and sometimes resourceful!) provision of coffee and buns.

For the past 18 months, we have made no charge for these courses. We hope to be able to continue this policy, and we are grateful to Human Resources for their promised support.

The new schedule for this semester has recently been distributed to all staff with The News. Call us on 5956 if you would like another copy, or to discuss details, dates and availability of places.
