LSA Conference 2010

Welcome

LSA 2010 Diversity and Equality in Leisure, Sport and Tourism July 6-8, 2010

Welcome to the Leisure Studies Association's (LSA)  annual conference 2010, hosted by Carnegie Faculty of Sport and Education, Leeds Metropolitan University, UK July 6-8, 2010.  LSA 2010 brings together researchers, policymakers and professionals with an interest in matters of equality.  As societies across the globe become characterised by greater diversity, and with growing interest in narrative in hybridity, increasing recognition is being given to the opportunities and threats presented by diversity. Presenters are invited to disseminate findings from research examining the (potential) role of leisure, sport and tourism in promoting and constraining equality.

For delegates arriving on Monday 5th July

The conference committee will be having food and drinks before the conference on the Monday evening, in the Arcadia pub on Otley Road, Headingley. We will be there for about 7pm. If you would like to join us, please feel free to come along! Please let Karl Spracklen know that you are coming along on K.Spracklen@leedsmet.ac.uk
